THE THERAPIST
How I work As a therapist, I work in a holistic capacity treating both the physical and emotional aspect of each client. I work both in and out of Hypnosis to develop and support ways in which changes can be made and by helping understand the roots of the issues brought to the session. I use recognised clinical counselling techniques, including other techniques such as CBT, EFT and NLP. In a sensitive, comfortable and confidential setting, clients can begin or continue, to feel empowered and take control. What to expect at a session The number of sessions (each lasting approximately 90mins) can vary between 1 and 10, depending on the clients needs. However, on the first session, more time is given to discuss the presenting issue (the issue the client brings to work on in therapy), what Hypnosis is, dispel any pre-conceptions, expectations or fears and establish the goals of therapy. I offer this extra consultation period free of charge, to enable both the client and therapist to build better rapport. Within the first session, Hypnosis will be introduced and work may begin directly on the presenting issue or on increasing relaxation and general well being. Personal feedback before and after sessions is always encouraged so that I can continue to enhance clients’ experiences. I also teach self Hypnosis. This enables clients to independently reinforce positive change long after the sessions are completed. Self hypnosis is a powerful tool with which a greater sense of relaxation and well-being can develop.
